Engineering Design Innovation at Northwestern is all about human centered design. It focuses on solving real problems through a disciplined blend of engineering expertise and design thinking. The approach is iterative, collaborative, passionate—grounded in thinking, doing, and making.

Based on interviews we developed key brand message points, a program design approach, and a unifying tagline to express the essence and value of the EDI curriculum—Intellect of an Engineer. Imagination of a Designer. The main program visual recasts a still image of a wheel and axle— now in motion, in color, layers interacting, coming together to create something new.

We extended tagline, messaging, and design to advertising, recruitment event posters, recruitment presentation content and visuals, and give-aways to promote awareness and interest in the EDI program and breadth of study available at Northwestern.
