Toto USA, Chicago Showroom

Form Flows from Function

TOTO, the world’s largest plumbing products manufacturer, is known for its innovative water-saving designs, top quality fixtures, and environmental focus. Located in the city’s River North area, TOTO’s Chicago showroom is the place where architects, interior designers, and the public come to shop.

Complementing Florian Architects’ elegant minimalist design, we created a system of signage and supergraphics on the concept of flowing water—swirling, clear, clean—to express and emphasize TOTO’s commitment to the development of environmentally sound and highly sanitary products that help reduce the spread of disease.

Signage included labels in the form of paperweight-sized acrylic cubes creating the illusion of reading product specifics through clear water, an eight-foot wide transparent floating logo cut from three-inch thick acrylic, and custom wall murals in the main showroom gallery and conference room.
